1980

Pictures I got from old Hutch factory rider Walter "Tiger" Holda.
This was before Hutch came out with his own stuff. I (Walter) was ridding a JMC and Richie was riding an SE PK Ripper. I also had a Redline at the time. It's funny, when you think of "Hutch" you think of his great bikes but there was a time before he started his own line when we all road different manufacturers, and we just road what we liked. This was the time (1980) just before the first "HUTCH" was released. I remember at the time some of the pro riders and Rich Farside were riding some of the prototypes first before the rest of the little people got theirs. The HUTCH team did very well and we had a lot of great local talent. So even before the "Factory" team we won our share of team trophies up and down the east coast.

1- Chris Ziska "B" Pro, taken in Vineland, NJ, August 1980
2 - August 1980, Hutch talking to Heidi Mirisola before her motto. That's me (Walter) front and center with the 80's Afro
3 - August 1980, Hutch talking to his son Keith track side, Vineland, NJ
4 - August 1980, Hutch's son Keith and Kevin Martin track side, Vineland, NJ
5 - August 1980, Me (19) far left on the gate and Richie Hutchins waiting for his motto on the far right. Richie and I are the same age so it was fun to race the Boss's son, Vineland, NJ.
6 - August 1980 Richie gets the wholeshot on me in the 1st motto (but I take the win in this motto and the finals), Fairfax, Va.
7- August 1980 Ritchie gets the wholeshot again in the 2nd motto.
